Wednesday December 27, 2006 What's New ? December 2006 SICS EBM Update No.6 December 2006 SICS EBMG annual report available. Link. May 2006 The SICS EBM forum is launched! By popular demand we have created a yahoo discussion group. The aim of this is to facilitate discussion of issues raised on the site, or to enable feedback on any publications. To subscribe to the group please email to: icu_ebm-subscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk or visit http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/icu_ebm/ January 2006 The SICS EBMG is pleased to announce that there is now a partnership between JICS and the SICS EBMG. As some of you will be aware critical appraisals are published in JICS. Up until now the format has been varied. JICS will now adopt the SICS EBMGs format for CATs. The SICS EBMG will be involved in editing these CATs (as well as supporting budding authors). CATs published in JICS will be published on this site. A list of all CATS published on this site will be circulated in JICS and as part of the ICS e-newsletter. This will be in addition to the regular update emails to the SICS membership. 18th November 2005 Update No.4. One new review (CVCrBSI), one revised review (VAP) and 10 new stand-alone CATs. 46 CATs in total. 27th July 2005 Update No.3. One revised review and 10 new CATs 7th April 2005 Site Stats updated - we pass the 80,000 visitor mark. 13th December 2004 Three new review articles: Changing Medical Practice, Therapeutic Hypothermia Following Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest, Prevention of Ventilator-associated Pneumonia. After the infection control and cooling material has been presented at the meeting it will be published on this site. New Random CAT section: A collection of CATs that will, hopefully, grow with time. Aimed at appraising interesting, new or historic studies that are not covered in the topic reviews.
