The Use of Kinetic Beds in the
Prevention ventilator-associated pneumonia.
2004.
Summary: We have
reviewed several small RCTs on the effect of kinetic bed therapy on the
incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia. All papers had methodological
problems that prevent any meaningful pooled analysis. We cannot recommend this
intervention as a means of preventing VAP. The individual CATs are linked.
